Shirley Gutkowski RDH, BSDH, FACE

Shirley Gutkowski, coach of CareerFusion, is a dental hygienist who practiced full time general dental hygiene in Madison, WI from 1986 to 2003. She received her RDH from Madison Area Technical College and earned her Baccalaureate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Marquette University in 1999.

She's author of the best selling series The Purple Guide, and brings with her a talent for the written word, self publishing experience, stage work and computer expertise.

 Over the last few years she's honed her message to consumers and dentistry alike. Watch what happens to audiences and readers when they take a little peek into her mind. They just about explode!

As the mother of five sons she has a tolerance for ambiguity surprising to most. She is on the board for the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics, the most evolved group of dentists there is. She is a member of ADHA and has found her true calling has nothing to do with politics by accepting the position of state president of the Wisconsin Dental Hygienist's Association.

Her mission driven enthusiasm caught the attention of the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry who awarded her an award in leadership.

She's mentored many and looks forward to helping others achieve their goals. If you don't know what your mission is, Shirley will help you find it, or find someone who can help you. She looks busy and unapproachable but that's just a facade. Call or stop by just don't try to hug!

Shirley is well known for her contribution to the dental industry with her wit and continual challenge to the status quo. Her decades in the 40 hour a week grinder created in her an air of urgency to recreate her career. She’s spicy, thought provoking, and where others may bring another flashlight to illuminate a problem, Shirley brings a blow torch.
